Evacuation Information

Programs that issue bulletins or otherwise inform the public of orders or advisories issued by local authorities to evacuate an area in preparation for a major fire, flood, hurricane, tornado, tsunami or other impending event which has the potential to cause loss of life, personal injury, property destruction or damage and wide-spread community disruption. Information generally includes evacuation zones and routes, pickup sites, the time frame for evacuation and details about the impending event.

Weather Advisories

Programs that issue bulletins to warn the public of impending weather-related problems such as flash floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, snow storms, high winds or high tides. Weather advisories may also include safety instructions for people who are in immediate peril.
