Agency provides:
*benefits screening (applications include Medicaid and other healthcare programs, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Welvista Medication Assistance Program, TANF, and others)
*able to complete SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, and Welvista (medication assistance) applications via phone
*mental health first aid trainings
*financial management training
*assists with obtaining SC birth certificate and social security card replacements
*free tax prep sites - complete on website or set in-person appointment

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Intake Process:

Call the toll free number (1-800 726 8774) or use the "Locator" on the website to find your closest site location.

Counselor will provide you a list of the documents you need to bring to your appointment.
The documents will include, but are not limited to:
*Child Care Expenses - written proof of payment for child care expenses,
*Earned Income - Pay stubs or written statements from employers showing gross income, or income before taxes or deductions (If self employed - most recent copy of your federal tax return),
*Housing & Utility Bills,
*Picture Identification,
*Medical Expenses - written proof or receipts of out-of-pocket payments to a medical vendor.
*Non-citizen Status (INS registration cards or other INS documents),
*Social Security numbers for all household members, including children,
*Unearned Income - most recent copy of social security check or copy of award letter; written proof of unemployment, worker's compensation, pension, child support, and alimony received.

**These documents will be submitted to the local DSS/DHHS office.
