Program provides:
*electric, gas, and heating fuel payment assistance
*water service payment assistance
*air conditioning and heating system repairs and installation

Must schedule an appointment. Fridays at 8am is the best time for scheduling. See below for more details.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

MUST have an appointment.

Intake Process:

Must have an appointment (no walk-ins).

*Appointments for financial assistance are limited. Be persistent if you are unable to schedule

MUST bring the following:
*State-issued picture ID with current address for applicant.
*Social security cards for all household members.
*Proof of total income for all household members within the past 30 days prior to application
*3 most recent energy bills

Eligibility:

*Resident of Berkeley, Charleston or Dorchester County
*Meet federal income guidelines
*Cannot accept applications from individuals who have been charged for unauthorized usage or tampering
*Bills cannot be over 90 days old
*LIHEAP assistance available up to 2x per year
