Water Assistance

To find local Agencies that may help with Water Bills, enter your Zip Code below, and click the Search button

*This search may take a few seconds to populate as we create a custom list for your area.

Step 1

Contact your utility provider even if you don’t have the money to pay the bill right now. Let them know you’re looking for help and ask about a payment plan or extension. This might help you keep the water on while you look for resources to pay the bill.

Step 2

Find an agency that may be able to help with your bill. Scroll to the top of this page to find a customized list of community resources in your area. Please read the details for each agency. This will help you learn how to apply, where to go, what to bring, and how to get help even if you can’t get in touch with the agency right away. Click here if you need to replace lost or stolen documents, such as birth certificates and social security cards.

Step 3

Make long-term plans. Look for resources that can reduce the chances of future disconnections. This includes contacting your landlord to fix persistent water leaks, Benefit Screening (to find resources that may be able to help with other basic needs), and Job Training Programs (to help increase income), and other solutions.
